This stunningly beautiful line winds its way through the glourious landscape of Devon for 39 miles between Exeter St Davids & Barnstaple. As you board, expect some of the best scenery the West Country has to offer.

Class 158 DMU

Services on the Tarka Line are operated by 2 types of Diesel Multiple Unit (Or DMU), The Class 158 (Left), & The Class 150 (Below). Introduced in September 1990, they have seen service throughout the UK, in places as far afield as Scotscalder & Barnstaple. They replaced many of British Railways older first-generation DMU's. They are currently in service with Transport for Wales, Great Western Railway, East Midlands Railway, Northern Trains, Scotrail, & South Western Railway.
